ABOUT
Jeffrey Edward Tryon is currently Art Director for Witherspoon Media Group; publishers of Princeton Magazine, Urban Agenda Magazine, and the Town Topics Newspaper. Jeffrey designs editorial layouts, marketing material, media kits, client advertisements; coordinates with editors, proofreaders, graphic designers, and photographers; and handles production with several printing presses. Jeffrey also oversees the content for the digital issues and websites for Witherspoon Media Group. Jeffrey is also the editor of the Terhune Orchards Newsletter, a quarterly publication, starting in the Winter issue of 2018, and editor of the West Trenton Garden Club's newsletter, The Garden Path. Jeffrey was a board member for the West Windsor Arts Council from 2010-2014 and involved in fundraising and marketing for the grand opening of the West Windsor Arts Center in October, 2010.
Jeffrey's graphic design experience involves the creation of branding, graphics, and signage for notable clients such as the Virginia Capitol Building, Goucher College, Bellarmine University, Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, Matheny Medical and Education Center, Vladivostok Master Plan, Aldar Motorworld Master Plan, Ozyegin University Istanbul; recruiting and interactive presentations for RMJM/Hillier; branding/signage/marketing materials for Princeton Design Collaborative, Raritan Valley Community College CTEP program, Madison Marquette/MarketFair Mall, MIK Fund Solutions signage, Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce, Princeton Senior Resource Center, The Ivy Club of Princeton, Copperwood Princeton, 1867 Sanctuary at Ewing; Water Quality Report and anniversary calendar for Well-Spring Magazine (The Watershed Institute); Witherspoon Media Group branding and signage; marketing graphics and cd booklet layout for Drum & Dance Learning Center/Groove Merchant; signage, marketing materials, and graphics for the West Windsor Arts Council and Arts Center.
Working in the architecture/design industries since 2003 has provided Jeffrey the unique opportunity to work alongside and acquire innovative photography techniques from notable architectural photographers including Paul Warchol, Albert Vecerka, Tom Crane, Jeff Totaro, Barry Halkin and Todd Mason, Brad Feinknopf, and James D'Addio, in addition to collaborating with architectural photography company ESTO. Jeffrey's photography has been published in many architectural, design, luxury magazines, and online.
Personal interests are many... include botany, growing orchids and plants, landscape design, vegetable and flower gardening, Bonsai; paleontology and paleo art (a family member was a founder of the Academy of Natural Sciences, Drexel University, in Philadelphia); a member of the West Trenton Garden Club, Central Jersey Orchid Society, Chanticleer Gardens, and PHS; a fan of modern architecture, mid-century modern furniture; husbandry of reptiles and amphibians, tarantulas and scorpions, tropical fish and corals; interests in studying the diversity of African cichlids; snorkeling, the fine arts, photography, hiking and travel photo documentation, cooking and eating various ethnic foods, and musical composition and performance. Jeffrey has a large collection of guitars, basses, drums and world instruments.
